Figure 9 shows the overall shielding efficiency, where the density of intensity of the overall attenuation of the electromagnetic shield R is defined by (7), whereas in case of a nonreinforced sample, the shielding intensity decreases steeply beginning by the first contact of waves and material boundary; the increased absorption is evident in the entire thickness of the reinforced sample; thus, less of undamped waves pass through the reinforced sample.
