vapor lock

Interruption of the flow of fuel in a gasoline engine caused by formation of vapor or gas bubbles in the fuel-feeding system.

vapor lock

The formation of vapor in a pipe carrying liquids; prevents normal fluid flow.

vapor lock

A condition of fuel starvation caused by liquid fuel turning into vapor in the fuel lines, thus preventing the flow of liquid fuel to the carburetor.
