An in situ compressor volumetric efficiency can be defined as the ratio of the volumetric flow rate of the refrigerant computed upstream of the compressor suction to the volumetric displacement of the compressor.
This result decreases the volumetric displacement and lowers the maximum flow rate from 0.989 to 0.367 mL/s when the height of the primary chamber is decreased from 4 to 1 mm.
Second, the time varying volumetric displacement of the valve stem is also a source (or sink) of flow.
Volume estimates of selected prey items computed by the two methods were very close (e.g., for termites, volumetric displacement gives an estimate of 1.6 [mm.sup.3]; the prolate spheroid formula gives an estimate of 1.4 [mm.sup.3]).
In this manner, the volumetric displacement of the pump is always constant regardless of the rotor's positioning.
The biggest difference between a small diameter and large diameter burst is that the expansion force is a volumetric displacement formula which is directly related to the amount of soil that must be displaced and the energy required to do so.
Volumetric displacement capacities run from 200 to 2000 liters.
In addition to the simple math that is required to determine amount of oversize for the burst head, a more important but complicated formula is to determine the volumetric displacement of the amount of earth moved in the burst to allow passage of the head through the original pipe ID.
