wall tap

wall tap

A wall tap expands a single AC outlet to three or more receptacles. Also called a "wall tap adapter" or "power adapter," the latter a term that conflicts with a true power adapter, which converts AC current to DC. See power adapter.

Three-Outlet Wall Taps
Wall taps come in a variety of shapes but typically have at least three outlets, which adds two more outlets to the wall or extension cord.
