wireless Internet zone

A Wi-Fi hotspot that is made available for access to the Internet, typically in a public venue. Anyone with a wireless router is creating a wireless zone (hotspot); however, in a home or office, the hotspot also enables users to connect to resources on the local network such as printers and scanners.
