Adzhameti Preserve
in the western Georgian SSR, in the Rion basin. It has an area of 4,800 hectares. The Adzhameti Preserve was created in 1946 for the preservation of relict species, such as the Imereti oak (Quercus Imeretina), Hartwiss oak (Quercus Hartwissiana), and zelcova.
