CICs in India are licensed by RBI and governed by the Credit Information Companies (Regulation) Act, 2005 (
CIC Act).

Under the terms of the agreement IBM will use Pervasive.SQL to support the online transactions that are carried out by
CICS for Windows.
IT service provider QED Business Systems has released its FireXML for
CICS product that allows mainframe applications to become web services.
According to NEON the new product is unique in the market with its ability to deploy web-enabled
CICS transactions in just five minutes, without programming.
