Solar radiation reaching the earth's surface after having been scattered from the direct solar beam by molecules or suspensoids in the atmosphere. Also known as diffuse skylight; skylight; sky radiation.

In bare bifacial panel applications such as fence integration, front surface usually faces the sun, while the rear surface captures diffuse sky radiation and/or ground reflection based on panel orientation and time of the day.
This is accurate except for the lower floors where the diffuse radiation is a mix of diffuse sky radiation and ground-reflected radiation.
