"We call it the valley of bananas," said Meir Barkan, tourism director for the Ein
Gev resort.

GEV fit (in red line) of R7x with 95% confidence intervals (dashed lines), (e) Scaled
GEV fit of R7x in which location parameter (thick red line) and scale parameter (difference between red lines) depend exponentially on global mean air temperature anomaly with ratio of two parameters being constant.
In this paper, the results of two-pion HBT analyses of Pb+Pb at 17.3
GeV from NA49 experiment [25] are compared in Figure 1 and discussed with other STAR HBT results from Au+Au 19.6
GeV [26].
The
GEV distribution can be divided into type I, type II, and type III distributions according to the sign of [kappa].
When performing statistical inference using the BM or POT method (fitting the
GEV or GP model, resp., to data), it is crucial to have an appropriate protocol of selection of "good" candidates for extremes [12].
Initially nine probability distributions were considered in the study such as, Generalized Logistic (GLO), Generalized Extreme Value (
GEV), Generalized Pareto (GPA), Generalized Normal (GNO),Pearson Type 3 (PE3), EXP (Exponential), GUM (Gumbel), NOR (Normal) and LOG (Logistic).
The uncertainty won't stop theorists from exploring the implications of the existence of a 750
GeV particle.
Different methods may be used to estimate the parameters of the
GEV. Among them, the Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) is one of the most used (WILKS, 2011).
Three selected distributions were used for the proposed study of annual total rainfall that are generalized extreme value distribution (
GEV), generalized logistic distribution (GLO) and generalized Pareto distribution (GPA).
(33, 34) Since quasi-monoenergetic production of electron beams, experimental research on laser plasma acceleration has achieved high-energy, high-quality electron beams with energies beyond 1
GeV in a cm-scale plasma (35-40) and qualities of a 1%-level energy spread, (41, 42) a 1-mm-mrad-level transverse emittance, (43) and a 1-fs-level bunch duration, (44) ensuring that the stability of reproduction is as high as that of present high-power ultra-short-pulse lasers.
