HTTP Live Streaming

Apple's adaptive streaming protocol for delivering video to iOS devices. Based on the MPEG-2 TS format, its unique architecture uses a changing index file that must be repeatedly downloaded. See adaptive streaming, MPEG-DASH, MPEG-2 TS and streaming server.
