IP based

(1) A TCP/IP network. See IP network.

(2) Hardware that is connected to a TCP/IP network, including computers, printers, smartphones, tablets, cordless phones and sensors. See IP.

(3) Software that requires a connection to the Internet or to a local TCP/IP network.
