IRNSS
(Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System) A satellite-based radio navigation system that covers India and its surroundings. First launched in 2013, a total of seven satellites are in orbit (three geostationary; four geosynchronous). Unlike the 24 medium-earth orbit (MEO) satellites in the GPS system, the geostationary IRNSS satellites are always available to the Indian subcontinent.
