iPIN

An earlier Web payment service from iPIN, Belmont, CA that specialized in premium digital content billed to third party accounts via Internet service providers (ISPs) and Internet content providers (ICPs).

The U.S. company merged in 2003 with Irish technology firm Network 365, and rebranded itself as Valista Ltd. Valista, Dublin, Ireland/San Mateo, CA (www.valista.com) operates as a global payments firm that offers online and mobile commerce payment technology. Ipin

 

(Hsiuchou), a city in China in Szechwan Province, on the left bank of the Yangtze River at the mouth of the Min River. Ipin is a river port and has a large railway station. Population, 212,000 (1959, estimate). In Ipin are located metallurgical, chemical, machine-building, paper, textile, and tanning industries, as well as wine-making and other branches of the food industry.
