The new print of
Lawrence of Arabia comes at a time of renewed interest in screening formats, as a special showing of a movie may be the deciding factor to leave the house.
Aside from his fame in Egyptian cinema, the renowned actor also had starring roles internationally, including in
Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Doctor Zhivago (1965), and Funny Girl (1968).
Eugene Rae, principal librarian at the Royal Geographical Society, said: "This is the first time to my knowledge that this headdress of T.E Lawrence, or
Lawrence of Arabia, has been loaned out from the society for inclusion in a major exhibition.
"He can talk about the film but he forgets its name or he calls it something else instead, like
Lawrence of Arabia."
Lawrence of Arabia, filmed three years earlier, is about the life of British wartime hero TE Lawrence, played by Peter O'Toole.

Even in the 1962 film
Lawrence of Arabia starring Peter O'Toole, Lawrence was described as being the son of an Oxfordshire farmer rather than being a Welshman, once again denying Wales of any recognition.
Lawrence, a British Army officer whose writing earned him international fame as
Lawrence of Arabia, on whom David Lean's classic 1962 epic is based.
