Penzhina Bay

 

the northeastern part of Shelikhov Gulf in the Sea of Okhotsk. The bay is 300 km long, with an average width of 65 km and depths to 62 m. Flood tides reach heights of 12.9 m, the highest in the Pacific Ocean. The bay freezes from late October through April. The Penzhina River empties into the bay.
