Randolph County State Recreation Area
Location:5 miles northeast of Chester, in Randolph County.
Facilities:95 Class C campsites, group camp area with shelter and electricity, 6
picnic areas with shelters and drinking water, concession, hiking
trails, equestrian trails (11.6 miles), boat rentals (seasonal).
Activities:Camping, boating (10 HP limit), canoeing, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, cross-country skiing.
Special Features:Park is situated in the rolling hill country of southern Illinois, in
an area is known for its wooded areas and abundant wildlife and
songbirds.
