Wicklow

1. a county of E Republic of Ireland, in Leinster province on the Irish Sea: consists of a coastal strip rising inland to the Wicklow Mountains; mainly agricultural, with several resorts. County town: Wicklow. Pop.: 114 676 (2002). Area: 2025 sq. km (782 sq. miles)
