air tube headset

A telephone headset without wires near the user's brain. The metal wire in a regular headset cable picks up the electromagnetic fields (EMF) emitted from the phone itself as well as ambient EMF in the environment. With an air tube headset, only sound waves reach the user's ears. See headset, electromagnetic radiation and electromagnetic hypersensitivity.

Air Tube Headset
This KINDEN air tube headset keeps the metal away from the wearer's brain. The speakers (red arrow) generate the sound, which travels through plastic tubes to the earbuds. (Image courtesy of Amazon.com.)
