Inevitably, some schools will have to address concerns of staff or parents of children with perceived
electromagnetic hypersensitivity. Following recommendations of the World Health Organization, individuals reporting
electromagnetic hypersensitivity should be referred to health professionals for assistance without the assumption that their symptoms are directly caused by electromagnetic-field exposure.

Quashing the council's decision on Wednesday, Mr Justice Singh said
electromagnetic hypersensitivity was not a recognised condition in the UK.
People living close to mobile phone masts (base stations) frequently report symptoms of
electromagnetic hypersensitivity such as dizziness, headaches, skin conditions and allergies, the mechanisms of which are only just beginning to be understood.
"The frequencies which the smart meters use leads to something called
electromagnetic hypersensitivity,'' he explains.
