The IEEE 802 family includes 802.1, which defines the relationships among the other 802 standards and the ISO-OSI reference model; 802.2, defining the protocol for the link protocol layer; 802.3, the standard that deals with
bus topology using CSMA/CD over broadband or baseband network; and 802.4, defining the
bus topology using the token-passing access method, for baseband and broadband systems.
