hectopascal (hPa)

A unit of measurement of atmospheric pressure equal to one millibar. It is named after the French mathematician Blaise Pascal. A hectopascal is equal to 100 pascals and 14.503 × 10−5 (0.00014503) psi. Some altimeter Kollsman window settings are indicated in hectopascals, as well as in inches and millimeters. See also pascal.
