The O1s components at 532.1 and 533.4 eV are attributed to C=O bonds in the
imide ring and C=O from ketone of the PI structure [29].

Incorporating
imide and phosphorous groups into an epoxy resin matrix resulted in the improvement of the flame retardancy of the resin, which can be clearly seen from LOI values (Table 4).
The
imide content increases upon heating and shows a maximum value of 29% for SMI-1 or 37% for SMI-2 at 135[degrees]C.
In this study, the researchers carried out experiments on SMA
imides to determine how well these new resins perform in the wet end of the paper machine.
The peaks corresponding to the
imide ring [e.g., 1785 [cm.sup.-1] (C=O asymmetric stretching), 1728 [cm.sup.-1] (C=O symmetric stretching), 1374 [cm.sup.-1] (C-N stretching), and 721 [cm.sup.-1] (C=O bending)] were observed in the base membrane.
Based on this principal, the hydrogen bonding interactions in these co-PI fibers are studied by first, deconvoluting FTIR spectra in a wave number range of 17001750 [cm.sup.-1] based on the identification of different number shifts and calculating the proportions of the hydrogen-bonded C=0 stretching of the cyclic
imide. Figure 8 shows the deconvoluted results of the FTIR absorption bands in the range between 1700 and 1750 [cm.sup.-1].
Figure 5a shows the orientation of C-O-C backbone structure relative to the aromatic
imide ring [I(1272)/I(1612)] and C=0 bond [I(1272)/I(1786)].
Fluorinated poly(amide
imide)s show outstanding capability to be processed into flexible, transparent films, having low dielectric constant and tough mechanical characteristics.
A study of thermal and electrical behavior of some silica-containing poly (ether
imide) films is presented.
