networked device

Hardware that operates in a network. All computers, printers and most A/V equipment (receivers, media hubs and servers, Blu-ray players, etc.) operate in an Ethernet network or Wi-Fi network or both. Smartphones and tablets all have Wi-Fi. See networked device protocol, Ethernet and Wi-Fi.
