According to QYR, Europe
Slip Ring market, the largest consumption market, will be about 304.3 million USD in 2016.
This system dispenses with strain gauges of any kind, as well as shaft-mounted electronics and the need for
slip rings or telemetry.
If the alternator field is shorted or the brush
slip rings are badly damaged or built up with carbon and oil, the alternator could well be the cause of the regulator failure.
With no excitation power,
slip rings or excitation control systems, the turbine has a capacity of 2.3 megawatts, and a rotor diameter of 113 metres.
The mold is painted with a new nano-particle conductive coating that receives current via
slip rings that carry the power to the mold.
This is measured by a TorqSense non-contact sensor that offers the development team the great advantage of not requiring complex and delicate
slip rings, making the mixer easier to build (and rebuild between trials) and far more robust in operation.
To reduce costs, Hobson asked MKE to use the new drive with the existing motor with its
slip rings linked out, rather than replacing the motor.
It features a multi heater cartridge design and dual
slip rings separate from the heater assembly.
