Java SE

Java SE

(Java Platform, Standard Edition) The Java operating environment that is installed in the user's computer. It contains the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) runtime engine and software routines necessary to execute Java programs in a workstation. Contrast with Java EE, the Enterprise Edition, which includes the components required to run in an application server. See Java EE.
