This case report adds to the literature about an uncommon case of combinations of severe preeclampsia, ulnar artery thrombosis, and APS in a teenage pregnant mother.
The SPA was formed by the branch of ulnar artery and completed by the first dorsal metacarpal artery of the radial artery.
In that case, it can be either a branch of the radial artery or of the ulnar artery. If branching from a superficially located variant, it should belong to another terminological group.
In the typical course, the ulnar artery crosses deep to the median nerve and is separated from it by the ulnar head of the pronator teres muscle.
For a given injured RA, a well-developed blood flow from the ulnar artery via superficial arch should provide sufficient enough perfusion for the thumb and index, and would minimize the harm of RAO.
The nurse releases pressure to the ulnar artery, recording the saturation level with the radial still occluded.
Majority of these variations occur in radial artery followed by ulnar artery. [3] Brachial artery variations are less common.
Unfortunately the infusion was inadvertently administered through a cannula that had been inserted intraoperatively in her right ulnar artery for gas sampling.
Cardiac catheterization and endovascular procedures can be performed achieving access in to body's arterial system from either femoral artery (in groin), brachial artery (in elbow) and radial or ulnar artery in the wrist.
